How did you come up with the numbers, especially for player who either have yet to play in the NHL or played sparingly as rookies last year?

That's the joy's of fantasy hockey, predicting the future as best you can.

I use my own lists for the 4 draft pools that I'm in, 1 in person, 3 online, + HBSL (mind you I don't use my lists for HBSL)

Thanks Lucas.

I have Schwartz and Palat way higher ranked. In our keeper league players who aren't kept have their salaries adjusted and it's always good to grab guys coming off of injuries or down seasons on a major discount. We're in the early stages of a slow draft right now where I'm picking last (9th)

Keepers:
Seguin
Tarasenko
Backstrom
Kucherov
Neal
Burns
Letang
Holtby

Minors:
Panarin
Matthews
Vasilevskiy

Draft:
1 - Schneider
2 - Schwartz
3 - pending...

Hey Lucas....love chatting fantasy hockey with you.

My "Keepers" carrying on from last year.

I have 8 to keep. The first 6-7 are no-brainers.

Kane
Hall
Tarasenko

Burns
Byguglien

Lundqvist
Dubnyk

I include two goalies as we are a 12 team league that plays 2 goalies....so pickings are slim.

So I can keep one more from the list of Thornton, Simmonds, James Van Rymsdyk, Hoffman

Categories....G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, SHP, shots, blocks

I am leaning Simmonds to get the Goals/PIM categories solidified....but Thornton is an assist king and great +/-. The deciding factor that brings me to Simmonds is age.....figuring Thornton must be nearing the end....sometime...one would think....in the foreseeable future.

Where would you (or your readers) go with this....Simmonds or Thornton....or even one of the others....

If Schwartz plays first line minutes he will certainly have more worth, and he was hurt a good chunk of last season so good call on that.

Your team is so stacked!

Simmonds 8 days a week for multi stat versatility and age. Good luck

I have Thornton rated above Simmonds, but with PIM, shot blocks, shots and more goals...Simmonds may be the way to go. Esp. if Simmonds sticks with Giroux.

+-, PPP, assists - Joe wins
shots, goals, PIM, blocks - Simmonds wins

Thanks Lucas. I'm fairly certain he'll be playing opposite VT.

Yeah, D is next up. The top end guys (Hedman, Carlson, Josi, Keith) all went 1st round. Lots of good guys on D available next year but I'm going to need some for this season too

That all depends on who has the shorter jorts. Neither will beat out Eichel.

ahhh good one, I think Nylander gets just over 50 points and Kadri just behind him.

there were honestly like 20-25 players who could have been in around the 95-100 mark.

Klingberg or Barrie I think could be just as worthy, if not more than those guys if available.

Yes. Nice break-down Lucas.

Also. A big advantage to grab 150 or so PIM from a producing player....and coupled with Byfuglien's 100 or so PIM I get to be a top 1-2 team in the PIM category and don't have to pick up some goon who contributes in just one category.

Both Byfuglien and Simmonds provide solid shot totals, goals and grab me enough Penalty minutes to be competative in that category.

Thanks for the imput...it solidifies my choice.

Simmonds it is !!!!!

(Beside, you never know...I have TWO first round picks in the re-draft...could possibly grab Thornton again ......lol)

for sure...I still think Kadri outscores Willie by a large margin and Matthews too

good list though.

54 points willy, 52 points kadri

if I had to put numbers on em, I think willy has a hell of a season (just a hunch).
